Under this contract, the Lessor, (VALLS ARENAL ALQUILER DE COCHES SL hereinafter “Valls Rent a Car Mallorca”) rents to the lessee, whose details appear on the front, the vehicle whose description appears on the front of this contract (hereinafter “the Vehicle”). The rental will be carried out according to the terms and conditions agreed by the Parties in this Contract, which replaces any other previous agreement.

A rental day is considered from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the evening/night. If you wish to rent a car for 24 hours, you will be charged one day of rental + 50% of the price.

Reservations are automatically cancelled after 2 hours of the pick-up time without the vehicle having been picked up and losing the money paid on account.

The deductible (150-300€) will be charged to the customer’s credit card at the time of pick-up. If the customer returns the vehicle in the same condition as when it was picked up, we will refund the deposit. Any damage to the vehicle that is not covered by the insurance will be charged from the deposit.

In the event of any accident or damage to the vehicle, the customer must fill out an accident report and deliver it to our office within 24 hours. In addition, if the vehicle is stolen, the customer must inform the police and file the report at our office. Any accident or damage to the vehicle not reported will be interpreted as negligence on the part of the customer and this may result in additional charges.

Valls Rent a Car is not responsible for any fees charged by your bank when returning the deposit to your credit card. The third-party insurance taken out covers the renter and authorized drivers against liability for an amount of seventy million euros (€70,000,000).

Valls Rent a Car is fully authorized to remove the vehicle from the Renter at any time, provided that the contracted period for the rental of the Vehicle has elapsed without its return having taken place.

If the User returns the vehicle before the end of the contract, no amount will be refunded.

Valls Rent a Car is not responsible for objects left inside the vehicle.

Book online

To complete the vehicle reservation service, the user will be required to select the reservation details (location, date, time) and category of the vehicle to be reserved. In no case is a colour, make or model reserved, but rather a category. The images of the vehicles on the website are indicative.

Successful completion of a reservation does not constitute a Vehicle Rental Contract, which must be signed by the Driver upon arrival at the office in order to be formalised. The user acknowledges that it is his or her responsibility to print and check the confirmation of his or her reservation and ensure that all the details in it are correct.

Valls Rent a Car reserves the right not to deliver a vehicle to the client to persons under 18 years of age, who do not have a valid driving licence in the European Community with the required seniority or who at the time of collecting the vehicle are in a state that could pose a danger while driving.

Not included in the price:

Additional drivers: €4/day. Maximum €30 per driver per rental period

“Young Driver” insurance for drivers between 20 and 23 years of age: €15/day. (Driving license with a minimum of 2 years of experience). In these cases, it is not possible to cancel the deductible, and the contract is only allowed for Group A.

Cabrios/convertibles always include an insurance with a deductible of 300 euros.

Mopeds and motorcycles always include insurance with a deductible of between €200 – €800, plus a security deposit of between €50 – €300.

Any GPS accessories, child seats, etc. Prices are available to the customer at the time of booking on our website.

Not covered by insurance:

The renter is responsible for the following cases of loss or damage:

· Loss or damage to keys. Costs of obtaining a duplicate and/or sending or transporting the set of keys.

· Costs caused by the incorrect type of fuel administered to the vehicle

· Damage to the underbody or clutch

· Towing service of the vehicle (only when the client incurs negligence that is not covered by the insurance)

· Damage or loss of accessories or damage to the interior of the vehicle

· Tire burst

· Damage caused by driving on poorly paved roads

· Damage caused to locks when the vehicle is parked in undeveloped areas.

Pay:

VISA and Mastercard credit cards are accepted. Both the deductible and the refund must always be made with credit cards. Only in the event that the renter chooses the EXTRA INSURANCE options, payment by debit card will be allowed.

Fuel Policy:

Vehicles must be returned with the same level of fuel as they had on collection. This will be marked on the contract. If a car is returned with less fuel, a €15 refuelling fee will be charged plus the price of the missing fuel.

Traffic fines

Valls Rent a Car charges an administrative fee of 25 Euros (VAT included) to the customer when we receive a traffic ticket. Valls Rent a Car is required by law to provide rental information to the authorities in the event of a traffic ticket. This fee does not include the payment of the traffic ticket, which the customer must pay to the authorities directly.

Vehicle abandonment

Customers who leave vehicles in a location other than that agreed in the rental contract will be responsible for the costs incurred in the collection due to breach of contract. In addition to the daily rental rate, a charge of 100 euros (VAT included) will be applied.

Restrictions

· Vehicles cannot be taken abroad or between islands.

· Clients must provide us with a local address (apartment, house, villa, hotel, etc.)

· The minimum age of the driver is 20 years old, with a driving license with a duration of more than 2 years. Drivers over 70 years old have the same conditions as young drivers.

· If the reserved vehicle category is not available at the time of pick-up, we will provide a higher category at no additional cost.

· The insurance does not cover, in any case, accidents or damages caused to the vehicle when driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication or any other substance that reduces the driver’s ability, or when the driver is not one of the drivers authorized in the contract, or even if the damages occur due to non-compliance with the provisions of the contract or basic traffic rules.

· The transport of animals or goods is not permitted. An extra charge of €95 will be charged upon return.

· The Lessee may not transfer, rent, mortgage, sell or otherwise provide as collateral: the vehicle, keys, documentation/equipment/tools. It is prohibited to use the Vehicle for paid passenger transport, towing or competitions.

· Only persons identified and accepted by Valls Rent a Car in the rental contract are authorized to drive.

. As a general rule, it is mandatory to leave the rental details visible on the dashboard: model, registration number and rental period. If this information is not visible, the client may be subject to a possible fine.

Cleaning

The rental price includes a standard cleaning of the vehicle, however, if the vehicle is returned extremely dirty, Valls Rent a Car will charge € 95 for special cleaning.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations and refunds of your deposit, please contact us 48 hours before the start of your rental.

Late return of the vehicle

If the vehicle is returned after the date agreed in the rental contract, the insurance will be invalidated and the customer will be responsible for paying a penalty of €30.00 per day (VAT included). In addition to this payment, the customer will also be responsible for paying the daily rental fee.
